Tuckerman Ravine

I knew that Tuck's attracted a crowd, but I wasn't really ready for the circus-like
atmosphere of HoJo's and Lunch Rocks. Add to that the awesome view of the Ravine itself: unlike anything else on the east coast,
Tuckerman's Ravine could easily be mistaken for one of the Great western bowls (Little Cloud at Snowbird
comes to mind). The ridgeline isn't quite as dramatic as the Alpes, but the couloirs certainly are. The
upper reaches of the bowl looked a little steep, but I was soon to learn that looks are quite
deceiving...
