“We Have Other Plans”: Communities Implement Alternative Development

This new film, produced by Sister City member Robin Lloyd is not specifically about Nicaragua's Atlantic Coast but explores current projects in Nicaragua that put true development in community hands. The projects portrayed include thriving fair trade coffee cooperatives to neighborhood women’s support groups, focusing on how and why these projects are successful and applicable in many other communities around the world.            Produced for the Nicaragua Network and distributed by by Green Valley Media, the film and study guide are available together from Nicanet for $25.      28 minutes, available in DVD or VHS.
