Donations to UVM Sailing can be made in a number of different ways.  All donations are tax-deductible, and they are recorded in the annual University of Vermont gift report.  The various options are listed below.  Please be sure to designate either capital campaign or general fund for your gift!

Planned Giving

Gifts over time are welcome.  Donors may pledge a gift over the current fiscal year or over a period of two or more years.  A signed personal statement declaring the amount of the gift, its designation for capital campaign or general fund, preferred donation schedule, and requested reminder dates (required) should be sent to:

In-Kind Donations

The Sailing Team can accept in-kind donations that are consistent with our mission of providing sailing opportunities for the university community.  These include, but are not limited to, sail and power boats, outboard engines, dollies, used sails, space-heaters, trailers and services.  Please contact Justin Assad at justin.assad@uvm.edu for more information.

Securities

Donors may contribute appreciated stocks (held for more than one year) and avoid paying the capital gains tax that would be incurred if the stocks were sold for personal gain.  The most common method for this donation is having one's broker contact the Development Office at 802.656.3223.
