Caroline Patten graduated from Hobart and William Smith in 2011 with a strong background in sailing. She is a 2011 ICSA Women's Skipper Honorable Mention All-American recipient due to her notable finishes throughout her collegiate career. Shortly before coaching the University of Vermont Sailing Team, she placed silver at the 2015 Pan American Games sailing Lightings. She previously coached for several competitive programs, including Severn Sailing Association. Caroline began coaching the University of Vermont Sailing Team in the fall of 2015. Since then, the UVM sailors have benefitted from her racing experience, intense practice plans, and leadership abilities. She continues to provide the team with constant support towards their goals, as she sets high standards at practice and during regattas. Her enthusiasm and devotion for Catamount Sailing shows through their competitive rankings within ICSA and the NEISA devision. The team is beyond appreciative for her coaching strength, and they remain excited to sail under her guidance in future seasons.
