Youths Showcase Talent at Eastern States Expo
- By Melinda J. Birch
Burlington--Several talented Vermont 4-H club members entertained audiences at the New England Center at Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts on Sept. 16-17.
4-H'ers participating in the fashion revue and smart shoppers performed every hour from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. For the latter, participants demonstrated their "shopping smarts" and fashion sense by putting together an outfit on a budget to model on stage.
Each stage act was slotted for seven performances throughout the two days while 4-H'ers presenting action exhibits were on hand throughout each day to share what they've learned through their 4-H projects. All the 4-H'ers marched in the Big E daily parade on Sunday.
