African Refugee Grows Homeland's Bitter Eggplants in Vermont

Janine Ndagijimana settled in Vermont after surviving two African refugee camps.  She grows African eggplant which are sold to markets throughout the U.S.  Janine receives support from Ben Waterman, UVM Extension Coordinator of the New Farms for New Americans program, and her thriving business is a story of both resilience and success.  Read the article on the Associated Press news website.
