Talented 4-H Club Members Perform at 4-H Spring Showcase

Lyndonville--March 24 was a day of music, dance, demonstrations, action exhibits and more from 4-H participants in the annual Northeast Regional 4-H Spring Showcase.

A total of 140 4-H'ers from 20 clubs in Caledonia, Essex, Lamoille and Orleans Counties took part in this event, held at Lyndon Town School in Lyndonville. It was an opportunity to share their 4-H project work and activities with families, friends and the public, and for some area kids, meant selection for 4-H State Day, May 12 in Barre, which features top 4-H talent from throughout the state.

In addition to stage presentations, public speaking, demonstrations, illustrated talks, action exhibits, tabletop displays, posters and photographs, this University of Vermont Extension 4-H sponsored the event also included a fashions selections category. Working with a budget of $50, 4-H'ers were tasked with putting together an outfit to model on stage to demonstrate their "shopping smarts" and fashion sense.
