Subject: UVM Employee Wellness & Health Assessment
I am excited to announce the launch of the 2016 UVM Employee Wellness Campaign! A newly formed Wellness Council has been established to assist faculty and staff in developing and sustaining wellbeing and organizational performance through the promotion of healthy lifestyles that enhance the quality of life for the UVM community and our families.
To kick-off the 2016 UVM Employee Wellness Campaign, we are asking employees to complete an online health assessment. We encourage all of you to complete the health assessment in order to increase employee awareness on where and how to exhibit healthy behaviors, and to determine opportunities to reduce health risks and live a healthier life. The survey will also provide the Wellness Council with an aggregate summary of results in an effort to understand UVM’s current culture and identify opportunities for worksite wellness offerings during the 2016 Employee Wellness Campaign.
The health assessment is located within the Blue Cross Blue Shield of VT (BCBSVT) web portal. All UVM faculty and staff employees have been provided with access to the BCBSVT Portal, even those who are not covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont through UVM. To promote the importance of the health assessment and wellness at UVM, BCBSVT will provide an additional $32,000 to UVM for wellness initiatives once 1,750 employees complete their health assessment!
We have over 350 wellness raffle prizes including Fitbits, and $100 Gift Cards from Amazon, Outdoor Gear Exchange, Ski Rack, and City Market. For every five completed health assessments, one winner will be drawn. Once we reach our goal of 1,750 completed health assessments we will raffle off three grand prizes: a brand new treadmill, stationary bike, and elliptical machine!*
Click HERE for instructions on how to log into the BCBSVT Portal and complete your health assessment. If you have any difficulty logging in, please contact a BCBS representative at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The health assessment will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All submissions and individual data are confidential and will not be shared. We request that supervisors allow employees time to complete their assessments during work hours.
Thank you in advance for supporting the wonderful opportunity that is our 2016 Wellness Campaign!
