UVM United Way Campaign Underway
Special Challenge Grant – Double the value of your new or increased pledge!
- By John Sama
As long-time supporters of the United Way of Chittenden County and proud members of the UVM Community, we invite you to join us in supporting your community by participating in the 2015 UVM United Way Campaign. The UVM community of faculty, staff and retirees raised more than $147,000 during the 2014 campaign, something that we are all very proud of. Our goal this year is to raise $175,000 – our highest goal ever!
SPECIAL CHALLENGE TO UVM:
Don Sinex of Devonwood Investors has challenged UVM faculty and staff to raise $25,000 in new or increased gifts during our 2015 United Way Campaign. When we meet the challenge, Don will make an additional $25,000 gift to United Way, resulting in an additional $50,000 investment in our community. If you have not participated in the UVM United Way campaign in the past, now is the time to do so, as the value of your contribution will be doubled!
Additional information and a link to a convenient on-line payroll deduction pledge form is also available on the UVM United Way Campaign Website.
We believe that when you contribute to the United Way, your gift leverages other financial and volunteer resources, as well as strategic partnerships to ensure that:
• Our children, youth and young adults achieve their greatest potential;
• Individuals and families can meet their basic needs and become financially stable; and
• Everyone in our community has the opportunity for improved health and well-being.
Investing in United Way is a solid investment in the future well-being of the local community, and our collective gifts will get results. Please give generously, because the vision we all share for our prosperous future is right around the corner.
