Boulder's University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, which manages the National Center for Atmospheric Research under sponsorship by the National Science Foundation, has launched what is calls, a database of experts on climate change from around the country. Lesley-Ann Dupigny-Giroux, associate professor of geography and Vermont state climatologist, has been chosen as one of three experts from Vermont. Learn more about the speaker network.

UVM’s Dollar Enterprise program, created by Kathleen Liang, professor of entrepreneurship and applied economics in the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics, won the Best Practices Award at the 2014 Small Business Institute Conference (SBI), Feb 13-15 in Las Vages, Nevada. The SBI Best Practices Award recognizes new entrepreneurial curriculum; new or innovative classroom delivery; innovations in attracting and maintaining clients; promoting entrepreneurship across the curriculum; or superior outcomes from existing programs.
