New Summer Academy for High School Students

Continuing Education Expands its Pre-College Program

UVM Continuing Education continues its history of innovation in helping students access higher education opportunities. In 2013, UVM Continuing Education will launch an all-new Summer Academy, a one-month long program (part residential, part online) for high school students.

This program runs July 15-August 9, 2013. Special courses in business, engineering design, health and medicine, environment and natural resources, and leadership will be available. Students also benefit from workshops such as an SAT Prep workshop and access to UVM resources, such as the Clinical Simulation Laboratory and Fabrication Laboratory. Also new in 2013, is a study abroad trip for high school students to Dublin, Ireland!

UVM is partnering with University College Dublin to offer an exciting summer program for high school students to experience Ireland. Students will challenge themselves academically, build a college resume, and enjoy the vibrant student and cultural life in Dublin, a celebrated European city. This program runs July 11-26, 2013. UVM’s Pre-College Program provides high school students the opportunity to earn UVM college credits that they may transfer to almost any college of university. UVM will also offer SAT Workshops, on June 24-27, 2013, and on July 12-August 2, 2013. For more information, please visit uvm.edu/precollege. Pre-College programs are not eligible for UVM employee tuition remission.
