Awards and Honors

Xindong Wu, professor for the Department of Computer Science in the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, has received the 2012 IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award and $2,000 “for pioneering contributions to data mining and applications.” This award is given for outstanding and innovative contributions to the fields of computer and information science and engineering or computer technology, usually within the past ten, and not more than fifteen years, and these contributions must have significantly promoted technical progress in the field.
