UVM Athletics and CatamounTV Announce Partnership with UVM Alumni Association

The University of Vermont athletic department has partnered with the UVM Alumni Association to launch CatamounTV for the 2011-12 season. The partnership will allow CatamounTV to webcast more than 100 UVM home athletic events for free via during the 2011-12 academic year.

"We are thrilled to partner with the UVM Alumni Association and be able to offer all CatamounTV programming free of charge. This partnership takes on a special meaning when you consider the strong support our programs receive from our alumni and fans. We look forward to more fans watching Catamount athletics than ever before,” said Chris McCabe, assistant vice president of marketing and business development.

“The Alumni Association and UVM Athletics share so much history and tradition that this partnership is a natural fit. Our two organizations together represent the best of UVM past, present and future," said Ted Madden '92, UVM Alumni Association president, “As proud UVM alums we look forward to sharing that legacy with those who follow our student-athletes throughout Vermont, the nation, and even worldwide,” continued Madden.

CatamounTV, which is accessible through, is the home of all of UVM's online video content, which includes: live online video streaming of home games, updates on Vermont Athletics, interviews with coaches and student-athletes, team and player profiles, game highlights and press conferences throughout the season.

The CatamounTV webcasts begin on Tuesday, August 23 when women's soccer hosts Rhode Island at 3 p.m. at Centennial Field. The first field hockey webcast will take place on Friday, August 26 versus Boston College at 1 p.m. at Moulton Winder Field, while the first webcast for the men's soccer team will be on Monday, September 5 when the Catamounts host Quinnipiac at 1 p.m. at Centennial Field.
