Pam Matson, Dean of Earth Sciences at Stanford, was at UVM this week giving a Burack Distinguished Lecture.  We hosted Pam on campus, and she was her usual wise, charming, generous self.  Her talk, "A new era in global change science: linking knowledge and action for sustainability," was packed and spun off discussions for the rest of the day and that whole week.
