Rachelle Gould's Research Group

Lake beach picnic table Students ask community members about their relationships with Lake Champlain, what they know about Harmful Algal Blooms, and how the algal blooms affect them.

Welcome to Assistant Professor Rachelle Gould's research group in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont.

Our team studies how people relate to ecosystems, with two foci:

  • non-material relationships and benefits from ecosystems, and
  • environmental learning

Our group is growing substantially this year! We have multiple new PhD students joining the team, and correspondingly, we are launching multiple new projects. See the People and Research pages to learn more.
