It all begins with the land...

This course is designed to provide students with a broad overview of the foundations and practice of conservation including both specific techniques and “tools,” and larger scale strategies. The emphasis will be on U.S. conservation. In addition the course will emphasize critical thinking, systems analysis, and synthesis.

Students will be expected to work on several service-learning projects, which may evolve into a master's thesis or project topic.
