Four Reasons to Choose The Rubenstein School: Information for Admitted Students

Interim Dean Jon Erickson

Welcome from Interim Dean Jon D. Erickson

Congratulations on being admitted into the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont! Your hard work has paid off, and your timing couldn't be better to join our vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff.

In January 2012, we moved back into the George D. Aiken Center, a model of green renovation. Our building has been transformed into a modern, energy efficient structure that will use living organisms to treat our wastewater and provides exciting new opportunities for research and learning (Greening of Aiken). This is one of countless examples of learning-by-doing in the Rubenstein School. Check out what's new in our experiential learning programs, read about the opportunities to study abroad, and learn about our many active collaborations and research facilities.

There has never been a greater need for environmental professionals, and we hope you will develop your skills with us. Please consider attending one of our Admitted Student Visit Days. In the meantime, please explore this page and the rest of our Website to help you as you make your decision. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
