Founding Members of GARES-MINES, A Cooperative of Small-Scale Miners
Lalie Raveloson, Aurelien Rakotomazava and Baina Rakotoarinelina pose with a collection of rough tourmalines, quartz and other stones that they have collected through their mining experiences. They are leaders in a 300 member cooperative that works to improve the economic and social conditions of miners in Madagascar.
