Ralph joined the Rubenstein school in 2007 as a co-instructor of Woodturning and Forest Conservation through which over 300 students have produced hardwood bowls and experienced conservation work and the value adding process at the Jericho Research Forest. In 2011 he began a new role as the Coordinator of the Green Forestry Education Initiative.
Concurrent with his work at the Rubenstein School Ralph operates a woodturning studio producing custom lathe work and offering instruction in the craft of woodturning. He also offers forest conservation services to private forest owners. This includes management planning, mapping, harvest planning and layout, reforestation design, and planting implementation.
Ralph is a 1999 graduate of the UVM forestry program where he focused on forest management and specifically value added wood products.
