Career Exploration

Find your self thinking about what you want to do after graduation?  Curious to know more about certain careers in the environment?

Thinking critically about your interests, skills and values is an important part of exploring your career and life direction.  Actively seeking experiences in and out of the classroom to build your skills, enhance your professional experience and widen the circle of people you know in your field(s) of interest will also help to inform your steps after graduating from the Rubenstein School.   RSENR Career Services Coordinator, Anna Smiles-Becker, works directly with you, Rubenstein students, to assist you  in your  career exploration.  Opportunities for you  to explore your  interests, skills and career ideas include individual meetings with Anna, alumni panels, internship and job search workshops, as well as workshops or information sessions hosted by visiting employers.  Much of this exploration will be a personal research project!   Additionally, you should  utilize the vast array of resourses offered through the UVM Career Services including annual Fall and Spring Job Fairs held at the Davis Center.

Want to set up a meeting with Anna Smiles-Becker, RSENR Career Services Coordinator, to talk about  internships, your resume, job searching, research opportunities and life in general?  There are three ways to make an appointment to meet with Anna: 1) stop by Aiken 220G to sign up for an appointment 2) email Anna directly at Anna.Smiles-Becker@uvm.edu with a few dates/times that woudl be convenient for you or 3) call Anna at 802-656-3002
