Welcome

The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources cultivates an understanding and appreciation of ecological and social processes and values to maintain the integrity of natural systems and achieve a stustainable human community in harmony with the natural environment.

Our School is committed to an integrative approach to teaching and learning. We strive to dissolve boundaries: between the classroom and the natural world, teaching and research, student and professor, learning and service, environmental and social issues, science and humanities, knowledge and policy, and academia and community.

Because of this integrative approach, coupled with our devotions to quality, community, and relevance, The Rubenstein School is emerging as one of the nation's leading environmental and natural resource programs. Our distinctive niche is focused on holistic, interdisciplinary analysis of complex environmental and natural resource challenges and opportunities. There is no environmental challenge, or meaningful environmental pursuit, that can be addressed from a single discipline or with a single skill set.

We invite you to explore our website further. You'll find details about our undergraduate majors and graduate programs, numerous hands-on learning opportunities, study abroad, travel courses, internships, research facilities, and more. We hope you will consider joining our community, so you, too, will be part of the challenge.
