UVM Clean Energy Call for Ideas until November 1
- By Kate Blofson
Want to help shape UVM's energy future?
The Clean Energy Fund annual Call for Ideas is open through November 1, 2013, and invites students, faculty, and staff to submit their project ideas. This year, the committee is looking for innovative project ideas that explicitly relate to renewable energy on campus through Research and Education.
Sustained by a self-imposed student fee of $10 per student per semester and generating approximately $225,000 annually, UVM’s Clean Energy Fund is designed to advance renewable energy research, education, and infrastructure on campus. Over the past 5-years, the CEF has funded 25 projects including solar PV installations, research classes, a campus-wide renewable energy study, and student internships. As the University moves towards climate neutrality, the Clean Energy Fund presents a unique opportunity for the university community to learn about renewable energy issues and technologies.
