Welcome New Faculty and Staff

Several new faculty and staff joined the Rubenstein School this year. And some familiar faces in the School changed or added positions. We're excited to welcome and congratulate the following RSENR community members:

Jon Erickson, professor of ecological economics, is the Interim Dean of the Rubenstein School as of October 1.

William "Breck" Bowden, professor of watershed science & planning, is now the Director of the Lake Champlain Sea Grant in the Rubenstein School.

Anthony McInnis (PhD-NR '11) became Assistant Professor in ecological design and ecotechnology.

Gillian Galford joins RSENR as a Research Assistant Professor and Fellow in the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics.

Steve Libby is now a full-time Lecturer in the Rubenstein School.

Reese Hersey (UVM '01) is now a full-time Lecturer in the Environmental Studies program.

Jarlath O'Neil-Dunne, research associate, has assumed the duties of Director of the Spatial Analysis Lab from Associate Professor Austin Troy who is Director of the UVM Transportation Research Center.

Anna Royar (UVM '09) is a new Research Specialist in the Spatial Analysis Lab.

Matthew Beam (NR ’07, MS-NR '11) is now a full-time Research Specialist and will continue his role in maintaining the Aiken Center Eco-MachineTM and conducting research with Anthony McInnis.

Deirdre Zoll is the new Research Coordinator in the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics and works closely with Director Taylor Ricketts.

Steve Cluett is the new Captain of the research vessel Melosira docked at the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory on the Lake Champlain waterfront.

Joshua Benes (ENSC ’11) is a Research Technician at the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory and conducts research with Professor Breck Bowden.

Kerrie Garvey is a new Research Specialist in the Rubenstein School.

Alicia Ellis is a new Post-doctoral Associate in the Gund Institute.

Karen Duncan is the new Grants Manager Coordinator in the Rubenstein School Business Service Center.

Philip Munderville is the Administrative Assistant to the Dean.
