Audience

Nursery employees, landscapers, school custodial staff, farmers, garden center employees or anyone wishing a Vermont Pesticide Applicator license.

Pesticide Applicators

This program will provide 2 recertification credits.

Program Overview

This program will provide training and review of Vermont Pesticide regulations and the information covered in the Pesticide Applicator Training Manual that is necessary to understand and to pass the VT pesticide certification license exam

The Core exam will be given after this training in the afternoon from 2-5pm.

(No category exams will be given but can be scheduled with VAA for a later date.)

It is necessary to study the Core manual BEFORE the training, to have all the knowledge necessary to pass the exam. Manuals can be purchased in advance from VT Agency of Agriculture for $33.00. Call Matt Wood at 828-3482 to purchase a manual.

Ann Hazelrigg is the Pesticide Education and Safety Program Coordinator in the Plant and Soil Science Department at UVM

Matt Wood is the Pesticide Training and Certification Coordinator for VT Agency of Ag.

Doug Johnstone, Plant Industry Agent, VT Agency of Ag.

Program Time

9:00 am to 5 p.m.
Coffee/pastries provided. Lunch available in VTC cafeteria.

To Vermont Technical College and Old Dorm Lounge:

From I-89, take Exit 4, Randolph exit; from Route 14, take Route 66 to Randolph Center. Go up the hill toward Randolph Center (about 3/4 mile), and go straight through the intersection at the top of the hill into the Vermont Technical College parking lot. Old Dorm Lounge is adjacent to the closest parking lot.

Registration

Please pre-register by March 20. Remove and send in the registration form with a check for $20.00 made out to UVM Extension.
