Ann Hazelrigg is responsible for the Plant Diagnostic Clinic at the University of Vermont. Other responsibilities include Pesticide Education and Safety, I R-4, the VT rep for the Northeast Pest Management Network, and Vermont Master Gardener. Ann has degrees in Plant Pathology and Pomology are from Cornell and Colorado State University.
Gabriella has a Masters Degree from Florida in Plant Pathology. She is invaluable at helping with disease diagnostics and uploading disease and insect sample information, including lots of great microscope images of fungi, to the National Plant Diagnostics Network (NPDN) database. She also provides assistance on current research projects on organic apple management systems, compost bioassays for persistent pesticides and a multi-state weed and climate change research project.
Sarah Kingsley-Richards is a Research Technician in the Plant & Soil Science department at the Univeristy of Vermont. Her responsibilities include data management and various lab and field duties. She works closely with the Plant Diagnostic Clinic, the UVM Apple Program, the UVM Grape Program, and Vermont Master Gardener. Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Plant & Soil Science and an undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, both from UVM.
