School IPM Program

The Vermont School IPM program helps Vermont schools with pest identification and pest management strategies. IPM information is provided to schools through a Vermont School IPM website, through phone and email consultations, through the Envision Program with the Vermont Department of Health, and through training programs for school officials and facilities staff. Priorities over the next 3 years include providing more educational opportunities for custodial staff and school officials outlining the benefits of IPM in schools. A second priority is to increase the number of schools participating in the “Certificate of Achievement Program” that demonstrates and documents IPM use in their school.
