Engaged Practices Innovation (EPI) Grants

Engaged Practices Innovation (EPI) Grants

The purpose of the EPI Grant Program, which is open to faculty and staff in all administrative or academic departments, schools and colleges, is to promote innovation in engaged teaching and learning practices in both the curricular and co-curricular realms.

Student persistence and retention are really byproducts of an excellent academic experience. One of the best ways to improve the academic experience is through engaged teaching/learning practices such as the "High Impact Practices" identified by the Association of American Colleges and Universities. There are many potential vehicles for enhancing student engagement, and of course there are some excellent models already in place across the University.

The intent of the EPI Grant Program is to increase the extent and the quality of engaged practices. Raising the level for all students will have multiple, positive effects over time.
