Resizing Images for UVM News You Should Know
For images to be included alongside the text at the top of the article (most common)
· Navigate to the folder where the image is saved.
· Right click on photo and choose “open with” then select the PAINT application
· Under the IMAGE tab in Paint, choose RESIZE
· Under Resize, select the PIXELS option
· Select the radio button next to pixels. Enter the number 250 for horizontal pixels. This will resize the width. The height should automatically resize to keep the proportions. Choose OK
· Select the white down arrow in the blue box located in upper left corner of screen. Choose the SAVE AS option.
· Open the drop down menu next to “Save as type:” and select JPEG. Save to your preferred location.
· Attach the image to your email when sending your article for posting.

For banner (wide) images to be included at the bottom of the article
· Follow all instructions above but enter the number 500 for horizontal pixels (instead of 250.)
