Grill Worry-Free

For many, grilling is something that makes Summer special. The problem is that without proper precautions it can lead to loss of property and even lives. July is National Grilling Safety Month, highlighting the need to be careful about starting out of control fires while grilling. The National Fire Protection Association provides this handout to make grilling fun not dangerous.

On July 20th the Isham Street Gardening and Other Optimistic Doings neighborhood group hosted a block party to help neighbors get to know each other, beautify their greenbelts and porches, share a meal and talk about property and personal safety. As one UVM alum noted it was "the perfect day" for a fun opportunity to meet your neighbors and get free food doing it. Check out the FB Album of the event.
