Description: New International Undergraduate and Exchange Student Orientation covers important information about immigration, adjusting to life in the USA, living in the Burlington and UVM community, health and safety resources, getting involved, and much more.

This orientation is MANDATORY for all new international undergraduate and exchange students. New students will receive information from the OIE with further details. CANCELLED - Workshop: Tax Matters for International Students

Description: PLEASE NOTE THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW SIGN-UPS. IF YOU HAVE INDIVIDUAL QUESTIONS YOU MAY EMAIL YOUR ADVISOR AT THE OIE WHO CAN DIRECT YOU THE RIGHT RESOURCE.

New International Graduate Students (or UG students with student jobs!) are encouraged to join us and learn a bit more about taxes in the USA, why they are considered a "Resident Alien" or "Non-Resident Alien" for tax purposes, and receive an overview of Non-resident Alien tax withholdings. We will also provide information on filing for income tax returns. Run by the UVM Controller's Office.

Buddy Program Event: Autumn Bike Ride

Location: Meet in fron of E
Description: ALL students in the International Buddy Program are invited to join in the Bike Trip. We will gather in front of ECHO by the waterfront and then go biking to Colchester along the Lake Champlain for more than 3 hours. We will check out the gorgeous view, have a picnic in one of the parks and get to know more people. If you have any questions or would like to join, please RSVP to Jing Luo via jluo2@uvm.edu and Jing will send you a follow-up email about finalized route.
