Explore International Education at UVM

The Office of International Education is responsible for two overarching functions: assisting students and faculty engaged in study abroad programs, and assisting international students, scholars, faculty and staff studying and/or working on our campus.

Nearly 37% of UVM undergraduates study abroad in nearly 80 countries each year. Some study for just a few weeks, while many spend one semester or a year studying in a foreign country. Our Study Abroad Advisors assist students in determining what options might be the right fit for their academic and personal goals. Our staff also help UVM faculty organizing courses abroad.

36% of UVM study abroad students participate in a Faculty-Led Program Abroad (FLPA).

The University of Vermont also is home to more than 500 international students, researchers, faculty and staff from more than 67 countries around the world.

Our International Student and Scholar Services staff advise on immigration matters and assist international students in their transition to and success at UVM through orientation, educational programs and community building events.
