While the Oakledge property served as a resort (1929-1961), numerous small cottages were built on the grounds to serve as private housing for guests. These bungalows, or cabins, were named after US presidents and were scattered among the trees along the lakeshore. While none survived to today, many of their foundations and brick chimneys remain, partially concealed among the trees and bushes along the shore.
