Steve Blair has been Director of Jazz Studies at Johnson State College for over 17 years. He has over thirty years of experience as a guitarist, composer, and educator, has performed extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Russia, has performed with major jazz luminaries such as Michael Brecker, Antonio Sanchez, Andre Kondakov, and currently performs with some of Vermont's best musicians. Previously composing and performing with bands such as Freefall and Science Fixion, Steve's latest project is The Steve Blair Septet. His latest two CD recordings with this ensemble are "Momentum" and most recently, "Ostinato". The courses he teaches at Johnson State include Jazz Theory, Jazz Keyboard, Songwriting, Music Fundamentals, Ear Training, Jazz Ensemble, and private guitar lessons.
