The Eleanor Luse Center is open Monday-Friday for speech, language and audiology services. Telehealth (remote support) may be available for some appointments, if appropriate and desired. The Eleanor M. Luse Center for Communication: Speech, Language and Hearing

The non-profit Eleanor M. Luse Center for Communication provides hearing health care, voice, speech and language therapy, and treatment for stuttering in children and adults throughout Vermont, New York and greater New England. The Center is part of the University of Vermont’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and serves as the primary training site for graduate students in the Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology program.

All professional services are provided or directly supervised by clinical faculty who hold a master's or doctoral degree and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). All faculty are licensed by the State of Vermont. It is the policy of the UVM Eleanor M. Hearing and Hearing Aid Services

Our audiological services consist of comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations and treatment, which may include communication counseling, hearing aids, and recommendations for assistive devices.

Tinnitus and Decreased Sound Tolerance

We offer assessment and management services for tinnitus and decreased sound tolerance, including hyperacusis. We are the only facility in Vermont offering Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).

Speech and Language Services

Our speech and language services include diagnostic evaluations and treatment services for speech, language, fluency, voice, social language and executive function and cognition.
