Germán López, is a master virtuoso of the most important instrument of his native Canary Islands, the timple. The beauty of the music López draws from this small, five-string guitar, is breath-taking, and his delicate and intricate performance will sound extraordinary in the beautiful acoustics of our hall. Joined by master Spanish guitarist Antonio Toledo, the two will perform music that ranges from folkloric “Island” music, to flamenco, to West African rhythms, to jazz. The infectious joy, magical interplay, and complexity of this music has to be heard to be believed, so we highly encourage you to listen to a sample by clicking on the video link below.
