Concert Band

D. Thomas Toner, Conductor

The University of Vermont Concert Band is....

The mission of the UVM Concert Band is to give every UVM student the opportunity to participate in a musical ensemble. The Band performs several concerts each semester both on campus and throughout Vermont and New England. The Concert Band also serves as the "home" of the Pep Band, which performs at UVM Hockey and Basketball games. Unfortunately, the University abolished the football program in the early 1970's, so the Marching Band ceased operation in 1975.
Each student must take a yearly placement audition for seating.  Since these are simply placement auditions, students should register for Band before the audition.
