  • What our students have to say...

Transferring to MMG was by far the best decision that I made here at UVM. All the professors are amazing and really care about you... they become more like wise friends than professors and advisors by the last few semesters, helping you in more ways than you can imagine. The classes themselves are incredible too, and they challenge your world view from the perspective of an MMGer, covering topics ranging from the future of technology to public health and emerging diseases, from cancer biology to forensics, and from the ethics of stem cell research to bread-baking and beer-brewing. One distinction that sets MMG above and beyond other departments is that it is a small department, so you know all the professors in the department, you know all the other students in your major, and they become some of your closest friends. Finally, the opportunities that MMG provides in terms of a future are endless. You can continue school in medical school or go into research through graduate school, go for a Master's in Business or Teaching, you can go into the Public Health sector, or go into industry, you can even find jobs in the law field.
