MMG Chooses Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf
We are having a departmental charity drive this season as we usually do, and the recipient will be the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. We chose it again this year because so many people in Vermont are unemployed or marginally employed, having trouble buying enough food for their families. Requests for assistance have increased 35 to 40% this year, and the Food Shelf is trying to make sure that everyone who needs it gets food.
Donations of cash or checks can be brought to Patty Laverty in the MMG office or to Joyce Heckman in Stafford 222B. There are supplies of homemade caramels in both places to thank our donors.
