Training Leaders in Maternal and Child Health with a focus on Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

The Vermont Interdisciplinary Leadership Education for Health Professionals prepares leaders across the health and education professions to serve children with special health needs and their families.

Leadership

As an interdisciplinary group of leaders; we collaborate with:

  • Title V Children with Special Health Needs
  • Vermont Blueprint for Health
  • Autism Programs state-wide

UVM Center on Disability and Community Inclusion and network nationally with other programs through the Association of University Centers on Disabilities.

Education

Key components of our 300 hour training include graduate level coursework, interdisciplinary clinical experiences, and leadership and policy skill development. Our seminars are part of the Certificate in Graduate Studies in the Interdisciplinary Study of Disability.

Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD) encompasses children with intellectual disabilities, motor disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other related developmental disabilities.
