Leading the Way in Public Health Education

Public health is a dynamic and challenging, multidisciplinary field blending public policy, research, and population health sciences. The focus of public health is on promoting health and preventing disease among entire populations, rather than on treating individual illness. UVM offers a Master of Public Health and a Certificate of Graduate Study in Public Health, both online for maximum schedule flexibility.

The University of Vermont's new Master of Public Health degree program, the first graduate public health program in Vermont, is a 42-credit online graduate program now admitting students for Fall 2014. Courses are available in summer 2014 and will transfer into the MPH program in Fall 2014.

The program is designed for medical and graduate students, health professionals in all disciplines, public health professionals, researchers, and others who wish to increase their knowledge in public health. In addition to enhancing careers in public health practice and health professions, the program also prepares graduates for advanced study at the doctoral level.

The University of Vermont's online Certificate of Graduate Study in Public Health enables students to explore current public health and health policy issues while gaining a strong foundation in population health sciences including epidemiology, biostatistics, and environmental health.
