What is Integrative Health?
Integrative health is a healing-oriented approach to Medicine that honors the whole person, addressing not only physical symptoms but also the mind-body connection, spiritual dimension of health and the impact environment and lifestyle have on wellbeing. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies.
Faculty of the PIH are presently developing and implementing a mind-body elective for medical students based on the successful validated model created at Georgetown Universtiy by Dr. Aviad Haramati PhD, and Nancy Harazduk, Med, MSW.
