Masters in Pathology Graduate Program

Our MS program is for students planning a professional career in biomedical research, education, and laboratory sciences, and for students continuing their education at the doctoral level (MD, PhD, DVM, and PharmD).

Admissions

Full-time students can expect to finish in 2-3 years depending on their area of emphasis. Prospective students are paired with a mentor DURING the application process and PRIOR to admission. Each student will complete a core curriculum, and elective courses, as well as laboratory research or experiential training tailored to the student’s area of concentration.

Those pursuing a research career may be mentored by research faculty in a variety of fields and departments at the College of Medicine, with various departmental fellowships and grants available depending on their mentor’s department.

Research students mentored by Pathology Department faculty are eligible to compete for merit-based Research Fellowship support that includes tuition, benefits and a living stipend for their first 2 years.
