Academic and Clinical Excellence
The Department of Neurological Sciences is committed to excellence in education, research and clinical care. The Department is actively engaged with the neuroscience community at the University of Vermont, integrating clinical approaches with research studies and educational programs.
Neurological Sciences faculty contribute substantially in teaching and mentoring medical students. The department offers a residency program and four fellowships, as well as programs for undergraduate students, graduate students, and post doctoral-fellows interested in the neurosciences.
Residency and Fellowships
The Department of Neurological Sciences offers a fully accredited residency training program that provides a thorough and broad based clinical neurological experience, as well as several fellowship training programs. The department also offers Summer Neuroscience Undergraduate Research Fellowship programs.
The Neurology health care team at The University of Vermont Medical Center is an extensive group of highly skilled experts dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the brain and nervous system, such as stroke, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and neurodegenerative diseases.
