Message from the Division Chief

The Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Unit offers comprehensive care for individuals with arthritis, systemic inflammatory diseases, and musculoskeletal problems. The faculty includes eight board-certified rheumatologists who see patients five days a week at the Gartman Medicine Specialty Center located in the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) on the campus of the University of Vermont. We have 24-7 coverage for inpatient consultations and have several outreach clinics throughout northern and central Vermont.

The Osteoporosis Center is located within the Rheumatology outpatient area and provides state-of-the-art bone density analysis for clinical and research purposes. This center is equipped with two Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometers and Quantitative Ultrasonography.

Our Unit operates the FAHC / Rheumatology Infusion Center for the administration of Biologic and Bisphosphonate medications and experimental drugs under research protocols.
