Dr. Tramontano has made contributions in the areas of ischemic cardio-protection and biomarker development. His current interests are focused on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction and cardiac imaging. Now working in a rural academic setting, he is managing the development of programs to improve cardiovascular care for the underserved.
