The Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) at the University of Vermont College of Medicine provides a broad spectrum of accredited continuing education opportunities for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals in our efforts to provide lifelong learning experiences for maintenance of certification and to enhance medical knowledge, performance and patient-related outcomes.
Every effort is made to ensure that specialty society credit and nursing credit is also obtained for appropriate programs, so that professionals attending these courses may earn the credit most useful to them in fulfilling their continuing medical education requirements.
The target audience for our educational activities is comprised primarily of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who serve northern New England. Our live educational activities attract both a regional and national audience.
