Perry's Perennial Pages - This site is maintained by an Extension professor in the P&SS department. It contains links to dozens of articles and leaflets about perennial gardening and related matters.
UVM Plant Diagnostic Clinic - PDC aids Vermont greenhouses, farms and orchards (commercial growers) by assisting in the identification and control of pests and diseases. Also site for pesticide use and training information.
UVM Horticultural Research Center (Hort Farm) - Home for many trees, shrubs, perennials, apples and small fruit. More than 700 kinds of ornamental trees and shrubs, many of them uncommon or unique, are planted at the Hort. Farm. One of the largest known mature ornamental crabapple collections in the Northeast is located here.
Friends of the UVM Horticulture Farm - A grassroots organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the significant plant collections and natural areas of the Horticultural Research Center in South Burlington, Vermont for education, research, and public enrichment.

Vermont Association of Professional Horticulturists - A membership association for growers, retailers, garden centers, nurserymen and women, landscape designers and contractors, maintenance experts, arborists, turf specialists, industry representatives, allied trades-people, students, and educators.
Vermont Entomological Society -VES is dedicated to the study, conservation, and appreciation of invertebrates. They sponsor selected research, workshops and field trips for the public, including children. VES publishes a quarterly newsletter that features insect events and field trips, as well as general contributions from members or other entomologists. Members range from casual insect watchers to amateur and professional entomologists.
Branch Out Burlington! -We are a group of volunteers who help plant and care for the trees of Burlington. Justin Smith Morrill Homestead - Strafford, Vermont home of former U.S. Representative and Senator, chief sponsor of the Land Grant Act of 1857. Homestead is "an outstanding example of a Gothic Revival cottage" with a variety of farm and outbuildings, gardens, and walkways. Plenty of exhibits and tours.

Small Scale Fruit Production: A comprehensive on-line guide - Created by Penn State Univ., this guide discusses topics such as getting started, pruning and training fruit trees, pests and pesticides, and controlling wildlife damage. It also includes individual chapters for each fruit type (pome, stone, grapes, berries, kiwi, etc.). Each of these includes fruit-specific information on planting, nutrition, harvest, and pest management, among other topics. This is a well-organized and very handy resource for anyone planning or maintaining a fruit garden.
The Master Gardener Show is being developed for television and will be dedicated to providing inspiration to gardeners everywhere while illuminating the most up to the minute horticultural approaches. Hosted by: Tom Castronovo. Lots of good gardening information at the website too.
