Living/Learning Center Arts
Initiative
The
L/L Arts Initiative will bring together the five following residential programs:
Art of Photography, Clay: Pottery, Sculpture and…, Knitting for Knowledge: Fiber
Arts & Cultural Patterns, Making the Mark: Creative Art, and Music
Appreciation & All that Jazz. These
programs will be housed in the A-Middle and A-High columns in Living/Learning
during the 2007-2008 academic year.
All
members of the above programs will be asked to play an active role in helping
the community to achieve the following four goals. The initial phase of the
first year will be used to:
1. Develop cross program
involvement.
2. Promote wider access to the
Creative & Performing Arts through on and off campus involvement in order
to support our creative and conceptual practices.
3. Involve upper level students
in offering their knowledge and experience to first-year students through a
mentoring role. (Learn

4. Enhance outreach to
arts-related communities within L/L, at UVM and in

are eager to collaborate with all interested students and are energized about
the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead of us in the next year.
