Information for Faculty
The Tutoring Center relies on a strong relationship with faculty at the University of Vermont. All of our subject-area tutors have been recommended by faculty and have previously taken the courses they tutor.
Please encourage your students to use the Tutoring Center by:
- Include information about the Tutoring Center in your syllabus
- Arrange for a Learning Skills Tutor to come to your class to talk about the Tutoring Center.
- Remind students about the Tutoring Center before and/or after major assignments (projects, exams, or papers).
- When sending mid-semester warnings suggest using the services of the Tutoring Center to improve
To recommend tutors to the Tutoring Center from your class, or to arrange for any of the services above (or just to talk about working with students' study skills), call Keith Williams, Tutor Program Coordinator at 656-7964 or e-mail Keith.M.Williams@uvm.edu.
