These three brothers, born in Xalapa, Mexico, were inspired by their musical grandmother to take up the violin at age four, and they have never looked back. These consummate musicians, composers, singers, arrangers, and multi-instrumentalists leave you breathless. We saw them at Joe’s Pub in New York where their energy overflowed the postage-stamp stage. One of the leading contemporary Latinx ensembles, their music masterfully fuses the richness of Mexican coastal folk sounds with the complexity and finesse of jazz and classical music. They’ve worked with everyone from Arturo O’Farrill (as part of his acclaimed “Fandango at the Wall” project uniting musicians from Tijuana and San Diego), to Bruce Springsteen and Regina Carter.
